SHASHANK MALAL, P.E.
DIRECTOR
Shashank Malal is the Founder and Owner of KC Structural Consultancy, bringing over a decade of experience in structural engineering, analysis, and design across a diverse range of building projects. Based in Los Angeles, California, he has successfully contributed to residential, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use developments, delivering practical, efficient, and code-compliant structural solutions.
Prior to establishing KC Structural Consultancy, Shashank served in key engineering roles with leading consulting firms, including Labib Funk + Associates, HSA & Associates, Inc., and other multidisciplinary design organizations. Throughout his professional career, he has gained extensive experience in structural analysis, design coordination, project management, construction documentation, and engineering consultation for projects of varying scales and complexities.
Shashank specializes in the design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber, and foundation systems in accordance with U.S. building codes and standards. His expertise encompasses structural modeling, gravity and lateral load analysis, seismic design, and value-engineered solutions that ensure both structural integrity and cost efficiency.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, USA, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut, India. His strong academic background, combined with practical industry experience, enables him to deliver innovative and reliable engineering solutions tailored to the needs of clients and project stakeholders.
